Nirmal is a Data Scientist who yearns for solving problems that actually impact product strategy and business outcomes. As a self-described realist, he believes that with pragmatism and high-quality data, Data Science can be a very powerful tool. Nirmal is currently working as a Sr. Data Scientist for security business unit at VmWare Carbon Black. As an ex- Microsoft, he worked as a Data Scientist in Azure Cloud + AI. Prior to MSFT, he worked as a Data Scientist at Wells Fargo for their Enterprise Analytics team. And before joining Wells, he worked with a federal government for the Department of Navy, in their Cyber Security/ Network Operations branch. He is also a United States Army Veteran (served: 2010 - 2014). Nirmal has experience working for both government and private industries. He loves working in the rare area of intersection between security and data science, where there are ample challenges to tackle.
