Certified Agile Scrum Master (CASM)

About Certification

Agile is today's buzz word. At present there is a wave 2 going on. Doing Agile was the wave 1 but wave 2 is being Agile in true sense.

Today Agile is treated as a mind-set and with that mind-set there are few frameworks which you can follow. Scrum being the most widely used framework, is simple to understand and adopt.

A scrum master is the facilitator for an agile development team. Scrum is a methodology that allows a team to self-organize and make changes quickly, in accordance with agile principles.

The scrum master manages the process for how information is exchanged.

The scrum master is responsible for:

  • Helping the team to reach consensus for what can be achieved during a specific period of time.

  • Helping the team to reach consensus during the daily scrum

  • Helping the team to stay focused and follow the agreed-upon rules for daily scrums

  • Removing obstacles that are impeding the team's progress.
